Polk County Schools is working to partner with local community agencies to potentially provide local learning spaces for students in middle or high school who are learning remotely, or who need internet access or support on days when they are not at school.
For example, community agencies like Steps to Hope or local churches might offer meeting rooms and spaces to support student learning during the pandemic. They would provide a safe environment with internet access for students to come and complete schoolwork, and students could receive learning support from volunteers. These sites will follow all current health and safety guidelines, and all volunteers would be screened and background checked. We are asking any interested parties to complete a short survey to gauge how much student and family interest there might be in utilizing these spaces.
If you are not interested in taking advantage of these sites and services you should not complete this survey.
