This week, North Carolina plans to begin issuing Summer P-EBT to children who were eligible as of the last month of the 2020-21 school year. Benefits began being issued on July 28 and will stagger over several days into August. Please note that children may still receive the full summer benefit if they were enrolled in the 2020-21 school year and become eligible for free or reduced-price meals or Food and Nutrition Services prior to the end of the summer (August 31). Those who become newly eligible over the summer will receive their benefit in late September or October.
