County residents urged to join schools in Spirit Week

Polk County residents looking for a fun way to support students and schools and bring smiles to friends and neighbors can do just that during the week of Sept. 25-29.

School counselors at all Polk County Schools have planned a county-wide Spirit Week starting Monday, Sept. 25. Spirit Week coincides with the final home football game of the season at Polk County Middle School on Sept. 28 and Homecoming at Polk County High School on Sept. 29.

The school district is inviting all Polk County citizens and employees to participate in Spirit Week as a show of support to PreK -12 students.

Monday: Pajama Day

Tuesday: Wacky Tacky Day

Wednesday: Ken and Barbie Day (Polk County Middle, Polk County High, Polk County Early College) or Book Character Day (elementary schools)

Thursday: Dress for Success (PCMS and elementary schools) or Dress Like a Teacher (PCHS and PCEC)

Friday: School Colors Day
