Hello, Polk Families and Community! This is Aaron Greene with your March 31 update.
Tonight I want to remind you about where you can access information and student learning resources. I hope everyone knows about our www.polkschools.org/coronavirus site with links to the latest updates and lots of community and COVID19 resources. That site also has a link to www.polkschools.org/learning, which is our “remote learning” site. Parents can access grade-level and course-specific work for students by visiting the site and clicking on the appropriate grade level or course area. If you have trouble accessing the student work page or activities, or if you need printed paper work packets please contact your school Principal.
I also encourage you to visit www.polknc.org which has important County Government and community information, and you can call 2-1-1 on your phone to learn about resources available to community members. If you know someone in need of information or help please direct them to these locations and services. And don’t forget food pickup continues daily at our elementary schools.
My quote for tonight comes from Coretta Scott King – “The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.” Thank you for taking care of each other, Polk County. Better days are ahead. Have a good evening.
