Polk County Schools is proud to celebrate Dr. Christopher Lamar Wilson, Director of Bands at Polk County Middle School, on his recent appointment as the new volunteer director of Bounty of Bethlehem.
A Hendersonville native, Dr. Wilson has served in education for 26 years, including a successful tenure as assistant principal at Hendersonville High School before joining the Polk County Schools team. He also has a long history of service with Bounty of Bethlehem, having volunteered for seven years during his college years.
“This is about giving back to the community that gave so much to me,” Dr. Wilson shared.
Dr. Wilson will be stepping into the role previously held by Annamarie Jakubielski, who guided Bounty of Bethlehem for the past five years. She is stepping down to care for an aging parent.
