Polk County Early College offers your student the opportunity to graduate in four years with a high school diploma, and an Associate’s Degree in Arts or Science from Isothermal Community College. All courses at Polk County Early College are Honors Level or a College Course.
A successful student will need to be hard working, self motivated and want to learn. In the first two years your student will take two college classes a year, while enrolled in in-person classes with the instructors at Polk County Early College.
Your student will have several options for foreign language classes. We offer seven different languages, including Japanese, American Sign Language, French, German, Spanish, Latin and Mandarin Chinese. Students are also eligible to play sports and participate in band.
Polk County Early College is located next to the high school in Columbus. The proximity to the high school allows students to participate in athletics and band courses with PCHS students.
