Mrs. Fletcher’s and Ms. McGee’s 2nd grade classes at Saluda Elementary released their butterflies last week. Students enjoyed this hands-on lesson about lifecycles. Each student watched their very own caterpillar for weeks as it grew larger and larger. Students were surprised after Spring Break when their caterpillars had formed chrysalises. In just a couple of weeks their butterflies began to emerge and they were able to observe them in the classroom for a week before they were released.
