Saluda students visit Community Garden, Johnson Farm

Saluda Elementary first and second graders recently journeyed to Saluda Community Garden, where Walter Hoover taught students about gardening and composting.

Students then traveled to the Historic Johnson Farm in Hendersonville. There, class members took a tour of the farmhouse and animals. Students also engaged in numerous hands-on activities and participated in a nature scavenger hunt.

The trip was educational, engaging and, most of all, fun!
