Polk County High School’s FFA chapter will celebrate National FFA Week Feb. 23-27 with dress-up days, competitions and appreciation events for staff and members.
National FFA Week recognizes the contributions of FFA members and agricultural education to communities across the nation. The weeklong celebration will include daily dress-up themes for students and staff to participate in throughout the school.
The chapter will host Ag Olympic Games on Tuesday during Advocate for FFA members to participate in agricultural-themed competitions. Students will check in with their Advocate teachers before attending the games.
Wednesday will be Teacher and Staff Appreciation Day, with the FFA chapter providing a Chick-fil-A breakfast for all teachers, faculty and staff. The breakfast will be available in the front office conference room starting at 7:30 a.m.
FFA members will be recognized Friday during FFA Member Appreciation Day, when the chapter will provide hot dog lunches for members during all lunch periods.
Daily trivia questions for staff and students will be announced throughout the week, with prizes for correct answers.
The FFA chapter encourages all students and staff to participate in the week’s activities and dress-up days to show support for agricultural education and the FFA program at Polk County High School.
