Polk County marching band earns second place in Class 2A at Cedar Cliffs Classic

The Polk County High School Marching Band earned second place in Class 2A on Saturday at the Cedar Cliffs Classic at A.C. Reynolds High School.

Rain forced the competition indoors, but Polk County still collected awards across several categories, including a first-place finish for the color guard.

The Wolverines received:

  • First place, Color Guard, Class 2A
  • Second place, Percussion, Class 2A
  • Third place, Drum Major, Class 2A
  • Second place, Music, Class 2A
  • Second place, Band, Class 2A

Polk County also finished fourth among all bands competing in the combined 2A and 2AA classifications.

The Wolverines will close their competition season next Saturday at the Trojan Tournament of Bands. Polk County is scheduled to perform at 1 p.m.
