Fourth graders at Sunny View Elementary School got a firsthand introduction to the legislative process Friday, Oct. 2, during a visit from Rep. Jake Johnson.
Johnson met with students to help them learn more about how the legislative process works, giving the class an opportunity to connect classroom learning with someone who serves in elected office.
The visit gave students a chance to hear directly from a state legislator and learn more about the work involved in government and public service.
